While swimming is a low impact form of resistance training, it still provides the necessary resistance to work muscles. The key to effective resistance training is to first decide what your goals are. Are you trying "bulk up", loose weight, build lean muscle tissue? Are you trying to maintain what you've already got? Or maybe you're just interested in staying active and mobile. The beauty of it is that all of these things are possible with resistance training. It is extremely versatile. There are a multitude of resistance training plans out there to choose from. Some are good...some not so much. Can you see results from a resistance program you found on Pinterest? Yes, absolutely. Keep in mind, however, that plan is not customized to you, your needs and your goals. So while you will see results from following a plan like that, the results will probably be minimal.
